Sugary Night is from my first collection, Sugarloaf Mountain. Sugarloaf Mountain is privately owned and was purchased parcel after parcel to provide the general public access to a natural landmark. It is not only the highest peak in the region but has served as a natural escape and setting for visitors and residents to form core memories. Over the years, I have rock climbed, hiked with family and friends, and even proposed to my wife while overlooking the east view.

Sugary Night was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night. I wanted to challenge myself to paint one of the most iconic paintings using a slightly different color palette and subject. This painting was one of my first paintings to be selected by Arthouse.NYC and exhibited at Ideal Glass Studio in New York City.
